Real Life is Drug-Free:
The Governor’s Red Ribbon Campaign Kick-Off Attracts 1600
In October, the Division hosted a launch party for Governor Deal’s Red Ribbon Campaign. Celebrities and VIPs lent star power to the year-long awareness campaign designed to engage students, parents, teachers, and communities in changing the social and physical environments that allow substance abuse by creating alternatives – environments where safe, fun, meaningful activities are the norm.
Youth from 22 schools and organizations across the state displayed their talents as part of a campaign to encourage and support healthy alternatives to substance use.
Georgia’s Red Ribbon Campaign is recognized as one of the most visible and effective drug awareness programs in the nation.
