Celebrating Recovery:

DeKalb Honors Advocates Cassandra Price and David Sibley

“The DeKalb Community Service Board seeks to serve our clients throughout the entire spectrum of behavioral healthcare from detox to recovery,” says Chief Clinical Officer Brenda Cibulas.  “Cassandra Price took the time to personally visit our facilities; she spent six hours with us.  She shared her vision and reviewed our addictions and co-occurring services.  We greatly appreciated her sharing her impression that our continuum of care reflected a truly effective model.  We feel fully supported and endorsed by Cassandra and we wanted to formally honor her.”

In honor of National Recovery Month, DeKalb Community Service Board (CSB) invited the public to attend Voices of Recovery: Together on Pathways to Wellness, at DeKalb Addiction Clinic.  The celebration was an opportunity for individuals in long-term recovery to share their success stories and for the CSB to honor two longtime champions of recovery.  Cassandra Price, Director of the Division of Addictive Diseases / DBHDD, was presented with the Advocacy Award for Policy and DeKalb CSB Board Chair David Sibley won the Community Advocacy Award for DeKalb County.
